Volunteer Opportunities

Locks Of LoveVolunteering is such a great experience. And lots of times children don't realize how much of a difference they can make in someone's life just by helping out in really simple ways. Grow your hair long then cut it short and donate it to be made into a wig for a child who has lost their own hair. While you are trick-or-treating for candy, take a little orange box with you from UNICEF and ask people for spare change too. 25c pays for 10 kids to have safe drinking water for one day! Make simple blankets or beds for animals in shelters. Ask your neighbors for food donations and take them to a food bank or local shelter.

Below, I have listed links to different categories that will help you find many places that allow children to volunteer. Most places that take adults will also take teens, but many times they won't take younger volunteers. I have tried to find as many places as I can that let children help out in some way or another. I hope you find my links helpful. And if you know of a place not listed here yet, please let me know by going to my Submit A New Site page.

Have fun volunteering!
